Join COYN
The California Opportunity Youth Network (COYN) works to transform systems, policies, investments, and narratives to ensure all youth and young adults in California have the opportunity to flourish in adulthood. If your organization seeks to simplify, coordinate, and strengthen the interactions among the Opportunity Youth serving ecosystem and improve the policies and resource flows, then a COYN membership may be for you.
Membership Types
Courtesy of the generosity of the Walter S. Johnson Foundation, Stuart Foundation, and Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, COYN offers are three free membership types:
Local Collaboratives
Local groups from the public workforce system, reengagement education, a key public system (one serving the key system-impacted populations probation, child welfare, homeless continuum of care, or social services), a post-secondary education or training provider , and a stabilization and support CBOs.
Individual Organizations
Any organization may join COYN . In its policy work, COYN will focus on engaging regional or statewide organizations. Additionally, COYN will work with local collaboratives to ensure members join and encourage all individual organizations to connect with collaboratives.
Policy Partners
Organizations that focus on policy advocacy in Sacramento (as well as on a national level) with aligned values and priority populations.
Benefits
If your organization seeks to simplify, coordinate, and strengthen the interactions among the Opportunity Youth -serving ecosystem and improve the policies and resource flows, then a COYN membership may be for you. In addition, COYN hosts a Youth COYN Fellowship and members have the ability to nominate a young person to be part of a leadership development program while receiving a stipend of $3,000.
